UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Montgomery County have charged an elementary school teacher they said inappropriately touched one of his young students.
Upper Merion police arrested 39-year-old Zachary Schettone of King of Prussia on Tuesday after a months-long investigation that began in August.
Officials said he touched a student from his third grade class at Gulph Elementary School in an indecent manner as they sat on his lap.
The school was made aware of the allegation and put him on leave right away.
Schettone faces charges including indecent assault without consent, indecent assault of a victim under 13, corruption of minors and harassment by physical contact.
Upper Merion police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
