PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Victory Brewing Company’s Philadelphia taproom is temporarily closed following a health inspection on Tuesday that found numerous violations, including evidence of mouse droppings, roaches and small flies in the prep and storage areas.
The bar on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway was ordered to close after 26 health code violations were found.
On its Instagram account, the brewery said it plans to reopen on Thursday. In response to a question posed by a commenter, a manager said the taproom has “maintained regular pest control service” and is “taking immediate action to resolve all issues” identified in the health inspection.
Other violations included substandard handwashing and dishwashing, as well as “black specks” and “orange residue” in the ice machine.
The bar must remain closed for 48 hours following Tuesday’s citations and must pass another health inspection before reopening.
