PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Earlier this month in North Philadelphia, a driver was robbed at gunpoint by the individual who allegedly crashed into him. Police have released surveillance footage in the hopes of identifying two suspects.
On June 14, police said a man driving a gray Nissan Pathfinder pulled out of a gas station parking lot on West Glenwood Avenue, near North Broad Street, and hit a sedan.
The driver of the Pathfinder and his passenger got out of the SUV and approached the driver of the other vehicle. According to officials, an argument ensued and the driver of the sedan tried to take a picture of the Pathfinder’s license plate.
That’s when one of the men from the Pathfinder pulled out a gun and took the victim’s cellphone, then fled in their SUV.
