PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have released surveillance video in an attempt to locate one of two men they say last week Monday stole a minivan with a 4-year-old child left unattended in the back seat.

The minivan was found and the child was safely returned to his family just hours later. And police say they have already identified one suspect.

The Special Victims Unit now is attempting to identify the second man. Police describe him as being in his late teens to early twenties, 6'2" tall with a slender build. In the video below, he is wearing a black-and-green jacket over a multicolored hooded jersey, black sweat pants and black-and-white New Balance sneakers.

Police warn against approaching the suspect. Anyone who comes in contact with him is urged to call 911 immediately. Police are also taking confidential tips via phone and text at 215-686-8477, and via this form.

According to police, around 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 28, the two men drove away in a minivan that had been left parked, running and unattended on the 200 block of South 52nd Street in West Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek neighborhood. It's possible they did not realize the boy was in the back seat.
