PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Delaware County District Attorney's office is looking into the November election after a series of videos popped up online.
The videos spread on social media. They include a self-described whistleblower asking probing questions of elections officials.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer says the videos are out there, people want to know if they’re real and if there is any validity to them.
Stollsteimer said it’s important to point out there are no allegations any elections were stolen, and there is no legitimacy to any allegation the election in Delaware County was tainted.
He added that his office was contacted by people who expressed concern over the content of the videos, so he felt it was important to open an investigation.
Delaware County Executive Director Howard Lazarus said the county continues to take steps to modernize elections while improving transparency and accountability.
He said it’s the district attorney’s job to investigate complaints, but he added, “We are confident that in the end the allegations will be proven to be fabricated and wholly without merit, and that our systems are worthy of your trust.”
