PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Bucks County Community College and Villanova University have partnered to offer a streamlined program for BCCC associate degree holders who want to pursue a graduate degree in accounting.
The key component of the program is the integration of graduate-level accounting prerequisites within the undergraduate curriculum.
During their junior and senior years at Villanova, students will take four key accounting courses: Intermediate Accounting I and II, Federal Income Tax, and Auditing. These courses will count as electives toward the undergraduate degree and give students a head start on their graduate accounting studies.
BCCC graduates who transfer to Villanova can receive merit-based tuition reductions while pursuing a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree. They may also be eligible for a $14,000 scholarship toward a graduate accounting degree if accepted into the program.
Those interested in the graduate accounting degree program can contact Bucks County Community College's School of Business, Innovation, and Legal Studies.
