PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Thousands of people in parts of Chester and Lancaster counties have been ordered to conserve their water.
Pennsylvania American Water has issued a temporary order for about 23,000 customers of its Coatesville water system to reduce usage by 10 to 15%.
Those affected include residents of the Atglen, Parkesburg and South Coatesville boroughs, as well as Caln, East Fallowfield, Highland, Valley, West Brandywine, and West Sadsbury townships.
Officials said more treatment is required at the plant because of recent weather-related changes to local water sources.
