PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Residents in Springfield, Delaware County, are welcoming Wawa’s 1000th fuel store to their area.

There are now three Wawa fuel stores within about a two-mile stretch on Baltimore Pike.

That’s something residents like Luigi Lazzaro are happy about, saying you can never have too many Wawas.

“It is extremely convenient,” he said. “I would say between five and seven times a week I’m at Wawa. Between getting fuel for my company, getting lunch for the guys or just getting a coffee on a cold morning, like today.”

Eddie Dunlap, who just moved to the area, said this is the perfect welcome to the neighborhood present for him.

“I’m a Wawa guy through and through. I go to Wawa just about everyday now,” he said. “It’s either for fuel or coffee or something to munch on in the morning, sometimes even for a late night snack or a quick dinner after work. it’s nice. I just moved around the corner. It’s convenient for me.”

In addition to all the regular Wawa amenities like coffee and made-to-order dishes, this store also has a place for people to sit down and enjoy their food.

To mark the opening of its 1000th fuel store, the company made donations to both the Eagles Autism Foundation and Philabundance.
