PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — West Chester University has confirmed that a student has tested positive for monkeypox.
Health officials said the student, a commuter to the campus, is isolating and doing okay.
The university said they were informed there were no close contacts in Chester County.
No other monkeypox cases at the school have been reported.
As of Monday night, the CDC reports 27 monkeypox cases in Pennsylvania and 11 in New Jersey.
