PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A South Jersey woman who had already been charged with abusing an infant and a toddler at her in-home day care has now been accused of mistreating four other children.

Danielle Ingraham, of Mount Laurel, was arrested earlier this month after an infant in her care had to be taken to the doctor for a bruised eye. At the time, Ingraham was accused of slapping that infant and a toddler in her home.

Now, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office said Ingraham hurt three more infants and another toddler.

She is accused of injuring a 5-month-old child’s head, eyes and wrist — enough to land the infant in the hospital. She is also accused of shaking a 7-month-old, injuring a 10-month-old’s cheek, and causing visible injuries to the face and back of a 13-month-old toddler.

In all, Ingraham has been charged with six counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty to a child under her care. The second set of charges was filed on March 20, about two weeks after she was first arrested.

Ingraham surrendered to authorities and appeared in Superior Court before being released. The case is being prepped for a presentation to a grand jury, at which time an indictment may be possible.
