PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An East Germantown woman is facing murder charges, accused of stabbing her on-and-off boyfriend to death and hiding his body in a closet.
On Oct. 1, Philadelphia police were called to the scene on Chelten Avenue, near Musgrave Street.
There, they found the body of Dorakoma Kim in the closet of an apartment, wrapped in a blanket and bound with duct tape. The 37-year-old had multiple stab wounds.
Investigators said Kim and Marianne Wright, 34, were in an on-and-off relationship.
A witness told investigators that Wright asked them to come to the apartment and help carry Kim to the hospital, claiming he was still alive.
Later on, the witness said Wright knew the body was in the closet and checked on him before the cops showed up.
Wright is charged with murder and abuse of corpse.
