Woman dies after being hit by car then SEPTA bus while walking along Frankford Avenue

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman has died after she was hit by a car and then a SEPTA bus early Saturday morning in Wissinoming.

Officials say the 66-year-old woman was on Frankford Avenue around 1:20 a.m. when she walked into the middle of the street and was struck by a driver going southbound. Her body landed in the northbound lanes and that’s when police say she was hit by a SEPTA bus.

She died at the scene.

Police say the drivers of the car and SEPTA bus stayed on the scene.
