PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman was fatally shot in West Philadelphia Friday night in front of a young boy.
Police say it happened on 57th and Ludlow streets just before 11:30 p.m. When officials arrived, they found a 29-year-old woman, shot in the head and chest, lying in the street next to a red Hyundai Elantra. An 8-year-old boy was inside the car and was nearly shot. Officials haven't confirmed his relationship to the victim.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died.
Police are still looking for the suspect. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
