PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for a driver who fatally struck a woman in North Philadelphia Sunday night.
They say the driver — who was in a silver Hyundai Sonata — hit the 42-year-old at North 5th Street as they were turning left on West Indiana Avenue just after 7:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Police say people inside the car took off on foot after the incident. Anyone with information on the incident is being asked to call 215-686-8477.
