
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Radnor Township police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman and injuring her daughter inside their Main Line home early Sunday.
Charles C. Hall, 40, a volunteer firefighter from Broomall, is in police custody, charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass and related offenses.
On Sunday, around 2 a.m., officers responding to a report of a stabbing at a home on Willow Avenue in Wayne found a woman with stab wounds. Her teenage daughter had also been injured when she attempted to intervene in the alleged attack.
The daughter gave police a description of the suspect, identifying him as Hall, police said.
A short time later, Haverford Township police responded to a car crash on Sproul Road believed to involve Hall’s car. He was taken into custody without incident at the scene of the crash.
Radnor Twp. first responders took both victims to Paoli Memorial Hospital, where the woman is in stable condition following surgery. Her daughter was treated and released.
Hall’s bail was set at $500,000, and he is currently held at Delaware County Prison.
Delaware County Criminal Investigative Division is assisting the Radnor Police Detective Unit with the ongoing investigation.
