PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 67-year-old woman stabbed her mother to death in West Philadelphia, investigators said.
The victim was found late Sunday night bleeding in front of her neighbor’s house on Westminster Avenue, near 46th Street. Police believe she was there to try to get help.
“We believe that the stabbing victim left her apartment here on the 4600 block and was attempting to get help from a neighbor when the stabbing occurred outside, closer and in front of the neighbor’s home,” said Inspector D.F. Pace.
The daughter is in police custody.
Police are still questioning witnesses and reviewing surveillance video to try to figure out what happened.
