Biden to receive additional Secret Service in preparation for his possible win

Starting Friday, former Vice President Joe Biden will receive additional Secret Service agents.

Biden’s team will be joined by the added detail at the Chase Center on the Riverfront convention in Wilmington, Delaware, where he and his camp have been since the end of the campaign, and it is the probable location of a speech he'll give Friday.

Biden has had Secret Service since the start he was the declared Democratic candidate in March and the six months following his role as VP.

According to the Washington Post, the added security for Biden will begin Friday, and should he win the presidency, his Secret Service will ramp-up considerably as it does for all sitting presidents.

It could take several more days for the vote count to conclude in some states, allowing a clear winner to emerge. With millions of ballots yet to be tabulated, Biden has already received more than 73 million votes nationally, the most in history.

During a news conference Thursday, President Donald Trump alleged Democrats were trying to "steal" the election. A Republican senator said Friday he saw no evidence to support Trump’s baseless claim and called the president's words “very disturbing.”

Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, whose state is a key battleground in the presidential election, said "There’s simply no evidence anyone has shown me of any widespread corruption or fraud" to supported Trump's claim Thursday of fraud in balloting.

“The president’s speech last night was very disturbing to me because he made very, very serious allegations without any evidence to support it," Toomey told “CBS This Morning.”
