PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The United States Department of Agriculture has issued a recall on an undetermined amount of vacuum-sealed meat packages with Coppa, which they say may be under-processed and could contain food-borne pathogens.

The ready-to-eat meat packages are made by Fratelli Beretta USA out of Mount Olive, New Jersey, and are distributed under brands like Dietz and Watson, Appleton Farms and Publix.

The recall also includes packages sold at Aldi, Costco, and Sam’s Club.

This is the second recall faced by Fratelli Beretta this year. In January, the company issued a recall of its meat packages for salmonella contamination.

It was during the investigation into that recall that the USDA found the potentially under-processed Coppa.

Consumers with the recalled products are advised to throw them away or return them to the store.
