Daunte Wright protests continue for fourth night in a row in tense standoff

With an hour before the start of a county-wide 10 p.m. curfew, protestors continued to gather outside of the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police precinct in response to the death of Daunte Wright on Wednesday.

In response to the protests, officials announced a dispersal order and declared the demonstration an unlawful assembly, which was met with honks and screams from the protestors.

Outside the precinct, there was a line of officers the length of the building as well as some type of tactical vehicle with a nonlethal weapon that was armed and pointed at the crowd of protestors.

Officers deployed tear gas as well as pepper spray in an attempt to break up the crowd calling for justice for Daunte Wright.

Officers also began to threaten arrests if protestors do not disperse shortly.

Protestors continued to light fireworks on their side of the fence as the night continued and had not begun to disperse despite the announcements made.
