(WWJ) Michigan residents should check their lottery numbers right now. Someone in the state could be nearly a billionaire by the end of the day if luck is on their side.
The winning lottery ticket for the Mega Millions was sold at the Kroger in Novi, Michigan, according to the Michigan Lottery website. The lucky numbers are: 4, 26, 42, 50, 60, and 24.
The identity of the person who won remains unknown until he or she contacts the Lottery's Public Relations Division. The winner can choose long-term payouts over nearly 30 years or a $739 million lump sum payout, before taxes.
This is the third largest lottery jackpot in history. The world record for a lottery jackpot was $1.586 billion.
