Oklahoma voters are headed to the polls today in a special election to decide if recreational use of marijuanna should be approved.

The conservative state already has one of the most liberal medical marijuanna laws in the country, about 10 percent of Oklahoma residents have a medical marijuana card.

Unlike most states, Oklahoma has no list of qualifying medical conditions, you just need a prescription from a doctor.

Supporters of recreational marijuana insist sales would bring in millions and millions of dollars in tax money that could be used to help schools and other state funded programs but opponents said it would lead to more crime and would harm kids.

The marijuana industry says Oklahoma could generate an estimated $1.8 billion in recreational sales, a lot of that from visiting tourist from neighboring states like Texas.

If approved recreational weed would become legal in Oklahoma June 5th and would allow adults to possess up to one ounce of pot and grow up to 6 plants.
