PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Kai is a 16-year-old boy with an exuberant and outgoing personality.

He thrives on one-on-one attention and quickly becomes attached to those who care for him.

Kai’s adoption recruiter, Kenricka Ellis, describes him as an “energetic teenager who has a great ability to bond with most people that he comes into contact with.”

Kai attends school every day, where he learns sign language to help him communicate his wants and needs.

He likes to play with toys that light up and listen to calming songs. He enjoys spending time outdoors, and his favorite activities include walking, swimming and horseback riding. They bring the biggest smile to his face.

“The ideal day for Kai would probably be something simple like being taken to a park because he loves to walk and he loves to be pushed on a swing,” said Ellis. “He could even be taken in the little sprinkler area because he loves to play in the water.”

Kai has several wishes, but the most important one is being adopted by a loving family. This family would help Kai learn new life skills and aid him through his medical and communication needs.
