Active shooter report at East Stroudsburg deemed a hoax

After an investigation into an active shooter report at East Stroudsburg University earlier this week, it was determined to be a hoax. The university announced that on Wednesday night, a call went to 911 reporting an active shooter at a residence hall on campus. All available university, local and state law enforcement agencies responded. The school says a door-to-door check was carried out at the residence hall and no threat was found.
