Threatening Facebook posts against a Delco church lead to man's arrest

Marple Township Police in Delaware County have arrested an Exton man after they say he made alarming threats to a church on social media. KYWs Vik Raghupathi has the details… .{Someone called police in Marple Township anonymously Sunday to report a Facebook post by 37-year-old Cristopher Henderson of Exton in which he mentions St. Pius, a Catholic church in Broomall. Police pulled him over on his way to the church, but found nothing in his car after Henderson consented to a search. And Marple Police Chief Brandon Graeff says there was nothing criminal about his post. However, Graeff says police came away from their interaction concerned over off-handed comments he made about someone shooting up the church. Then, Tuesday morning, Marple police say another of Henderson’s posts was flagged. In a profanity-laced paragraph, Henderson said he’s going to go to St. Pius, and “sit there all day and night” if he has to. Henderson then threatens to “send…[people] to hell”, before making more threats of violence. Officials say Newtown Township Police pulled him over on West Chester Pike, as he was driving toward Marple. He’s charged with making terroristic threats. He’s being held at Delaware County Prison.
