Women's professional tennis is coming to Philadelphia this summer.
The Philadelphia Classic will be held at the Hamlin Tennis Center at the University of Pennsylvania at the end of August, one week before the U.S. Open begins in New York.
The venue normally seats several hundred, but the Inquirer reports the Women's Tennis Association will construct a temporary 1,200-seat center court.
The event's website says, "With an intimate venue setting, fans experience world-class tennis from just a few rows away!"
This is a WTA 125 tournament. There will be 32 players in the main draw with a $115,000 prize purse.
