Of course, the breakout hit from Disney’s Encanto is a fan favorite, reaching No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” became the first song from a Disney movie to reach No.1 on the Hot 100 since Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” in 1993. The live performance by Becky G, Luis Fonsi, and the Encanto cast will take place this Sunday.
Although “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is not nominated for an Academy Award, another Lin-Manuel Miranda penned song is in the Best Original Song category. “Dos Oruguitas” is nominated along with “Be Alive” (King Richard ) “Down to Joy” (Belfast) “No Time to Die” (No Time to Die) and “Somehow You Do” (Four Good Days). Encanto is also nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Score.
