Vying for the trophy are Adrian Quesada and Abraham Alexander with “Like a Bird” from Sing Sing, Camille, Zoe Saldaña & Karla Sofía Gascón with “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez, Elton John & Brandi Carlile with “Never Too Late” from Elton John: Never Too Late, H.E.R. with “The Journey” from The Six Triple Eight and Selena Gomez with “Mi Camino” from Emilia Pérez.

The winner will be revealed during The Oscars ceremony, which will take place March 2 at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. For the first time ever, the ceremony will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of each nominated song in place of live performances.

In 2024, sibling songwriting duo FINNEAS and Billie Eilish took home the award for their song, “What Was I Made For?” From the Barbie movie. The win made them not only two-time Oscars winners (also won Best Original Song for "No Time to Die,” from the James Bond in 2022), but record breakers as well.

Just 22 and 26 at the time of their second win, FINNEAS and Billie were not only recognized for joining a very small group to have multiple Oscars by age 30, but also the youngest winners to take home more than one Oscar and the first in 86 years to win the same category twice.

Will more history be made this year? Tune in to the 2025 Oscars March 2 to find out. The show will air on ABC at 7pm ET and also be available via live stream on Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.
