In case the elongated title of Kristen Bell’s newest Netflix miniseries didn’t tip you off, “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window” is a comedic spoof on murder mysteries.

But it was a racy scene that got one fan riled up enough to take to Twitter with a comment that elicited a response from Bell herself.

It seems the Twitter user, named Eric, is a fan of the show, but while recently watching the fifth episode, a particularly raunchy and unexpected scene put him in a very awkward position, E! noted.

Eric took to Twitter to express his shock over the sex scene, which he watched "with my girlfriend and my mom in the same room…"

Possibly even more shocking to Eric was the fact that Bell soon commented under the tweet, writing, "Hahahahaha sorry dude."

If he was star struck at all, Eric hid it behind quick-witted calm with an equally funny response to Bell: "You need to apologize to my mom right now."

Eric later let his guard down a bit, changed his Twitter header to a screenshot of Bell’s comment, and admitted to another user, "i was genuinely so surprised that she actually saw it and responded."

In the show, a twist on the classic Hitchcock flick, “Rear Window,” Bell’s character is a struggling alcoholic who witnesses a murder, and when no one takes her seriously, she tries to solve the crime herself.
