Just Like Heaven 2026 delivered exactly the kind of glorious musical chaos we were hoping for. The day was a hot one with plenty of awesome moments, but the day's highlights for us were: The Rapture rocking with infectious dance-punk energy; Chromeo bringing the funk, and Matt & Kim being every bit as ridiculously fun as expected. Ekkstacy added a darker, moodier edge to the day, while LCD Soundsystem reminded everyone why they remain one of the best live electronic acts around. It was an eclectic lineup, but somehow every set felt like it belonged.
And then, of course, there were The Strokes. Seeing Julian Casablancas and the band close out the festival was the perfect payoff and an especially fitting birthday celebration, with Casablancas turning 48 the day after the festival. From the opening notes to the final song, The Strokes delivered the kind of set that makes a festival memorable long after the last encore. Just Like Heaven continues to be one of those rare festivals where the lineup feels curated rather than simply assembled, and 2026 was another excellent reminder of why. Excited to see what Just Like Heaven 2027 has in store for us!
