Wet Nose Wednesday Pet: Chulo

Chulo the dog

"Hola! My name is Chulo. Did you know that’s Spanish for cute? I mean, just look at my pictures! My foster friends call me Chuey though. Don’t want to give me an ego I guess!”

Chulo/Chuey is approximately 2 years old and about 80lbs. He is a fun-loving family member! He is guessed to be a husky/Labrador retriever mix with a fluffy, adorable tail. His loyalty and protection is matched by no other. He is a quick learner and highly intelligent which also means he is stubborn but submits with friendly reminders. He would love someone to help him combat his stranger danger fear once he’s comfortable in a place, yet, being properly introduced totally diverts any reaction and he truly just needs a responsible owner.

He is house trained, loves walks, and is good in a crate alone. He loves relaxing in a kennel! He has been amazing with all dogs who have come his way! Felines are not friends though. He has been around toddlers and younger children and has been very curious but gentle. Chuey is such a well behaved gentle giant who has been overlooked for far too long. He has amazing manners- no jumping or accidents. He lives for belly rubs and will give you an occasional little kiss. He is a sweet, patient boy and ready to steal someone’s heart.
