I remember seeing Steve selling slices of cake in the Quarter in the early aughts. Before that, he was a sound engineer on albums you probably own! Steve and his wife Becky Retz closed the doors to Cake Cafe in the Marigny in June 2020 after 13 years. However, that didn't stop them from making their famous King Cakes available every Carnaval season since. Steve is my Foodie Friday guest this week and I'm so glad to have him!
