Lewis came to Take Paws Rescue from a home where he was incredibly loved. His owner was forced to make the impossible decision to find him a new home, as her declining health was making it too difficult to take care of him. She chose to put his needs before her own desire to keep him close, and we're honored to be the ones to make sure her baby finds a new family that can love him just as much as she does. At 6 years old and about 12 pounds, Lewis looking for the kind of quiet, loving home he's always had.
He's house-trained, heartworm negative, neutered, and has been doing well with small dogs and a cat in foster. Big dogs and loud surprises aren't his thing. He prefers calm routines, soft beds, and someone who understands that safety looks a lot like a carrot treat and a quiet place to nap. Could that be with you?
