This Was the Most Tweeted About Moment of the 2020 GRAMMY Awards

BTS, the return of Demi Lovato, and more

Even under sad circumstances surrounding music’s biggest night, the 2020 GRAMMY Awards came with a full slate of surprises, unprecedented wins, and emotional moments. Fans were quick to voice their opinions on social media, because of course. With BTS performing on the GRAMMY stage for the first time and Alicia Keys paying tribute to Kobe Bryant there was plenty to talk about, but it was an emotional return that was the most tweeted about moment of the night.

Demi Lovato returned to the stage at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards for her first performance since an overdose nearly took her life in 2018, performing “Anyone,” a song she wrote in the weeks leading up her relapse. Lovato was clearly emotional, forced to stop the song as she choked back tears. With all of the feelings streaming down her face, Lovato delivered a powerful debut of the song, with fans erupting inside the building and beyond.

The song quickly shot to number one on iTunes. Lovato will be featured again on Sunday, singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in Miami.

Among the other most tweeted about moments of the night was BTS performing and thanking fans, and Billie Eilish making history by sweeping the top 4 categories including Album of the Year. BTS, Lil Nas X, and Tyler, The Creator were the most retweeted artists from 2020 GRAMMY Awards
