Expressing her emotions about screenshot moments of her just living her life, SelGo spoke out in a post on her Instagram Story, Tuesday.
“I will never be a meme again,” he wrote following her appearance at the 2023 MTV VMAs earlier in the night. “I’d rather sit still than be dragged for being myself. Much love.”
The most recent memes Selena could be referring to might include one which popped on the scene last month, after a pic of her looking into the distance deep in thought while wrapped up in a cozy blanket took over the internet.
Then Gomez went viral again earlier this month, this time for her wide-eyed reaction to soccer player Lionel Messi during a crucial part of the Inter Miami vs Los Angeles game.
So, during Tuesday night's VMAs broadcast, many cut-to’s to Selena led the internet to once again do its thing.
Being completely over the online mockery of her genuine and candid reactions, Selena’s response, as she shared, is to give the trolls nothing to work with moving forward. A true shame to those who appreciate her genuine emotions and authenticity.
