So when the news broke yesterday that the Saints were letting punter Thomas Morstead go, it was hard for the fans and clearly hard for Thomas. Watch him get choked up in this Twitter video.
Reportedly on the day he was released he and his wife, Lauren, went to the Saints offices to say thank you and goodbye to the staff in all the departments. That's a Saint for ya.
So what does Morstead say about leaving New Orleans? That he won't. Not really. "New Orleans has been amazing to me and my family. We're in the process of building a home right now, and this is home no matter where my career takes me."
