An amazing story aired last night on WBZ, telling the story of Nicky Bandera. The Quincy native saw the dramatic turn of events that COVID inflicted upon her community, in particular the restaurant industry, and decided to help.
She stepped into the kitchen and started prepping a staple Italian comfort food... lasagna. One turned into 10... 10 into 100... 100 into 1000... and now 9 months later she's served up 2,500 meals to those in need! Nicky - what a rock star!
Her initiative is called Project Paulie, and has started to pivot from doling out delicious Italian dishes to decorative clothing with proceeds going back to many deserving organizations. If you are looking for some fashionable tomato-themed threads that give back, visit the Project Paulie website.
