Attleboro Grad Gets Class Ring Back - 50 Years Later

In related news, hands grow quite a bit in 50 years.

Let me be the first to say, I never bought my class ring. All due respect to Revere High School, but I was doing backflips out of school on my last day. For some though, it was a time to cherish!

Jack Healey must have liked his time, because he did get his class ring. He graduated from Attleboro High in 1961 and soon after, moved out of his house and headed to Raynham. Then back to Attleboro some time later.

Then - (insert dramatic sound here) - he realized the ring went missing! He thought it was a goner for sure. That was back when JFK was President, we were 8 years pre-moon landing, and a gallon of gas was $0.31.

Meanwhile, Jack's former Raynham home has new owners. They happened to have found the ring ages ago, and kept it in a box. Then someone, likely struck with "quarantine boredom", decided to try to find the rightful owner of the ring! They took to the internet, found the high school's Alumni Association on Facebook, and reached out.

The all points bulletin went out to members, which caught the eye of Jack's former flame, who used to wear that very ring. She reached out to Jack, and amazingly, 50 years later, he was reunited with his class ring!

Sure, it fits a little more snug now (it only fits on his pinky finger), but it's back!
