Dog Saves Another Dog From Drowning
Even dogs get tired of doing the dog paddle.
A little toy pom in South Africa fell into the backyard pool while his owners were out. You might be saying to yourself "it's okay, dogs can swim," which isn't always true. Thankfully, 13 year old Chucky could... but he was so small that he couldn't lift himself out of said pool.
Enter the big galoot Jessie. A big ol' Staffordshire bull terrier that was in "bull terror" witnessing her buddy struggle staying afloat.
Nervous to hop in herself, Jessie tried and tried to pull Chucky to safety. Seconds turned to minutes... 34 in total... until Jessie finally got a good grip of her little buddy's ear, and pulled him out of the pool.
The two played in the yard until their owners came home... at which point they noticed their Pomeranian was soaking wet. And the rest is security camera history.
Brief side note - Jessie is actually a rescue that needed not one, not two, but three second chances! Glad she got hers...
