So much of the conversations regarding the Red Sox have involved how they are prioritizing the next wave of players.
Well, on a day where the big-league club was swept at Yankee Stadium, at least the organization came away with a few home runs from a few key figures for the future.
Thanks to Nick Yorke, Jeter Dows and Connor Wong, there was an inkling of good vibes to be had for Red Sox followers Tuesday.
At Single-A Salem, Yorke, the Red Sox' 2020 first-round pick, continued his solid season with an opposite blast for a his eighth homer of the season.
In 72 games, the infielder is hitting .312 with an .876 OPS, serving as Salem's starting second baseman.
Then there two of the players who came over in the Mookie Betts deal, Downs and Wong.
Downs has struggled mightily offensively in his first season at Triple-A, hitting just .186 with a .604 OPS. But against the Yankees' Triple-A team in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, he went deep twice, including one homer against rehabbing starter Corey Kluber.

As for Wong, who has been up and down recently with the major league team, he blasted his third homer of the season for Triple-A Worcester. With the WooSox, the catcher is hitting .196 with a .583 OPS.
