Longtime offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo’s career has now full circle.
The Lexington, Mass. native began coaching as a graduate assistant under Tom Coughlin at Boston College in 1991 and is now returning to The Heights as Jeff Hafley’s offensive line coach.

It’s not DeGuglielmo’s first return to his New England roots over the course of his 30-year coaching career in both the NFL and college football. He served as the Patriots offensive line coach from 2014-15 during the first stint of Dante Scarnecchia’s retirement, winning a Super Bowl ring with the team’s victory over the Seahawks. DeGuglielmo had previously secured his first Super Bowl ring helping ruin the Patriots’ perfect season in 2007 as a member of the Giants coaching staff.
“Dave's one of the best in the business – NFL or college – when it comes to coaching the offensive line," Hafley said in a B.C.press release announcing the hire. "We are thrilled to be able to land a two-time Super Bowl champion who is from the Commonwealth and has ties to BC."
Since leaving the Patriots after 2015, DeGuglielmo has bounced around coaching stops in both the NFL and college, including work with fellow former Patriots assistants Brian Flores with the Dolphins and Joe Judge with the Giants.
DeGuglielmo’s ties to Boston football run deep as he was a four-year letter-winner as an interior offensive lineman playing for Boston University from 1987-1990.
