Game 6 against Celtics will be most expensive home game in Knicks history

It's going to be historically expensive to get into the Mecca of Basketball to watch another must-win Celtics game against the Knicks Friday night - the price of tickets is the highest in Knicks franchise history, according to one retailer.

"With the NY Knicks hoping to close out the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Madison Square Garden vs. the Boston Celtics on Friday, Gametime, the leading app/site for last minute tickets, is reporting that the game will be the highest-priced home game in Knicks history," a representative from the website sent in a statement Thursday. "Currently, the lowest-cost/get-in tickets are available for $644 each (including all taxes and fees). Top tickets are going for $28,342 each."

New York shocked the reigning NBA champs early in the series, going up 2-0 at TD Garden, but lost Game 3 at MSG. The series took a historic turn when Celtics star Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles tendon in Game 4, Monday night.

There's been no shortage of celebrity sightings during the first five games. Ben Stiller, Megan Thee Stallion, Timothée Chalamet, and - of course - Spike Lee have all been in attendance.

The Knicks last reached the Conference Finals in 2000.
