Few would have blamed Garrett Whitlock if his routine leading up to Tuesday's appearance was a bit off.
Just two days after making his season debut, the Red Sox pitcher found himself at a podium at Yankee Stadium, answering questions about a new four-year, $18.75 million contract extension.
But true to form, Whitlock didn't break stride. In fact, he actually took his game to a level not seen in the major leagues since 1990.
