Jalen Rose got hacked!

Not really, but neither did Jay Williams.

During an exchange on ESPN Thursday night, Williams was going after Rose for praising the Milwaukee Bucks defensively, in light of their Game 1 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The former Duke standout was making some salient points about drop coverages and schemes, but Rose came back with the ultimate mic drop.

"Well, I got hacked," he said.

Impressively, Williams didn't skip a beat and kept delivering his basketball take, even though host Maria Taylor and Adrian Wojnarowski were cracking up.

When the Celtics hired Ime Udoka Wednesday, Williams inaccurately tweeted he will be the first Black coach in franchise history. That error was bad enough, considering the Celtics have employed six Black coaches over the years. Notably, Red Auerbach named Bill Russell the first Black head coach in North American sports in 1966.

Three Black coaches, including Doc Rivers, have led the Celtics to championships.

Williams deleted his ridiculous tweet, and then followed it up with an even more absurd explanation. The NBA analyst claimed an unknown person logged into his account.

"As it relates to the Boston Celtics tweet that came from my account a couple of hours ago," Williams wrote. I did not post that & my passcode has now been changed."

Yikes. Just take the L, man.
