Was Sunday night's Fenway Park crowd as good as the well-publicized Tuesday night edition? There were conflicting reports.
"These people, wow," said Red Sox manager Alex Cora after his team's 13-inning, 6-4 win over the Rays. "That was better than Tuesday, to be honest with you. That was fun."
"I don't know if it could have been better than the Yankees series. I think that was probably the best fans, noise, interaction that I've ever seen, from both ours and Yankees fans alike," Red Sox outfielder Hunter Renfroe added.
"Tonight was incredible as well. Obviously, it was a different situation, being that we went 13 innings or whatever, 14 innings, whatever it was, but they were in it from the beginning, just like that other night, and it was fun. The guys, obviously, we build off the fan interaction and the noise, and we love it. It fired us up. This is why we come to the field. This is it."
