Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly could be 'more available than he's been' around NFL Draft

For the last several weeks, it's been pretty quiet on the Jimmy Garoppolo front, but that could change this week with the NFL Draft.

Writing in his Football Morning in America column, NBC Sports' Peter King believes the 49ers could make Garoppolo "more available than he's been."

This means perhaps they will get rid of their first-round asking price and lower that to a second-round pick. King mentions the Patriots and potentially trading the No. 46 overall pick in the draft for the QB they selected in the second round of the 2014 draft.

Garoppolo is on the books for $25 million this season, which would likely need to be adjusted if he's dealt. It is worth pointing out he has a no-trade clause, so he would control where he goes if he is in fact traded.

Another name King throws out there as a potential player to be traded is Falcons receiver Julio Jones. The Patriots are mentioned here as well, but it's a little more complicated because of Jones' massive cap hit.

A deal likely wouldn't happen until June 2 so Atlanta could split Jones’ cap charge between this year and next year. King does make clear he's not reporting Jones will be traded.

"I am not reporting the Falcons will trade Jones, or will probably trade Jones. I am saying it would not surprise me if it happened," he writes.

The NFL Draft will begin Thursday and it is sure to be a busy week.
