Bill Belichick and the Patriots continue to add to their team.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Patriots have agreed to a four-year, $24 million deal, including $9 million guaranteed, with defensive back Jalen Mills.

With the Eagles, Mills started out as a cornerback, but switched to safety. Belichick, of course, is a big fan of players who have versatility.

In 15 games last season, the 26-year-old had 74 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one interception.

It is unclear what his exact role with New England will be, but it could potentially be a sign that Stephon Gilmore will not be in the picture next season. In order for that to happen, he would need to get his contract restructured and with Mills getting a good amount of money, it may not make sense.

It feels like this move will make more sense in the coming days following more moves taking place.
