The Patriots' cornerback room just got even thinner.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, cornerback Marcus Jones is dealing with a torn labrum and is headed to injured reserve. He'll be out a minimum of four games.

Jones suffered said shoulder injury during the Patriots' Week 2 matchup versus the Dolphins last Sunday, a game he started at boundary cornerback in place of the also-injured Jonathan Jones.

Want help keeping up with said Joneses? The other one, Jack, is also on injured reserve. He can't come back until, at the earliest, Week 5 versus the Saints.

As our good pal Andy Hart says, this New England cornerback room is a 'house of cards'. It's very, very close to falling as we approach Week 3 of the 2023 season.

To combat the avalanche, the Patriots signed cornerbacks Breon Borders and Azizi Hearn to their practice squad on Thursday, according to the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed.
