Saturday just became a lot longer for the Red Sox and Mets.

Due to inclement weather, the the teams' series opener at Fenway Park Friday night was suspended until 2:10 p.m. Saturday. It will be picked up at the point where it left off when stopped in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Tickets from Friday night's game will be good for admission to the resumed contest Saturday. Saturday’s regularly scheduled contest will move from 4:10 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.

The Mets currently hold a 4-3 lead with one out in the fourth thanks to two-run home runs by Brandon Nimmo and Daniel Vogelbach off Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford.

The Red Sox had initially taken a 3-0 lead against Mets starter Kodai Senga. The runs came on a Justin Turner ground out and Yu Chang double.
