This week I’m in on NE +5 @ LAC, namely because of how bad the Chargers’ run defense is. If you’ve read any sportswriter in Boston this week, then that is probably the thousandth time you’ve read about how bad L.A.’s run defense is. The Patriots’ rushing offense is peaking at the right time and despite the Jets being a bad team, their rush defense is one of the better units in the league. Having success against that is a good springboard for the Patriots, who can either rip off explosive runs against the Chargers or keep the ball out of Justin Herbert’s hands, reducing L.A.'s margin for error to the width of a hair follicle.
