Hey, everyone! I'm Moss! I'm a sweet little boy who's looking to find my forever home and fast! I'm still a kitty at 8 months, and I already weigh 10lbs! I'm sweet and eager to warm up. I get along with other cats and love to play. I'm already litter-box trained, and I'd be the perfect mate if you're looking for some company. Stop by the shelter and let's see if were meant to be.
Guinness is my name, and I’m a small fellow with a big heart. I’m easy to care for and ready for my favorite spot on your sofa! Lap time is also good! I can offer the Senior-for-Senior discount, and I’m eligible for the Foster-to-Adopt option. Shelter life is new to me, so I’m staying with some volunteer friends for a few days to build my confidence. You can meet me by sending an email to fostercare@austinhumanesociety.org. They will send you more information about me and set up a meeting! Let’s do it!
Moss the cat won't need to grow on you and Guinness the dog isn't an acquired taste...they are two of the animals at the Austin Humane Society that are ready for adoption right now!
If you looking for a new furry forever friend or maybe you are willing to foster. These are two of the many furbabies up for adoption at the Austin Humane Society today - check out all the four-legged furever friends and see if one is the right fit for you today!
The Austin Humane Society’s beloved Puppy Bowl is back and better than ever in 2026! The 19th annual event, presented by Heritage Ranch by H-E-B, will be held on Saturday, February 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the AHS shelter (124 W. Anderson Lane). It will be an epic day of delicious tailgate bites, puppy races, Super Bowl puppy predictions, and pet adoptions.
Director of Communications for the Austin Humane Society, Sarah Hammel was on Inside Austin last Sunday to discuss this year's Puppy Bowl and how AHS responded to the winter weather in the Central Texas area.
